Cavity Wall Ties

Wall ties are used to tie inner and outer walls together to form a cavity wall. Wall ties can corrode and require specialist wall tie replacement. Signs of failure include cracks to render, internal cracks at wall junctions and ceiling joints, outward bulging of a wall, lifting roof edges.

Wall ties are replaced by the use of a low impact drill to the outer wall, new non- corrosive stainless steel wall ties are inserted and tested for effectiveness, the drill holes are then covered to match the existing appearance of the wall.
